In search of the source of cosmic rays
Description
The paper concerns the origin of cosmic rays that arrive at earth. Evidence is presented that most of these cosmic rays come from within our own galaxy, and are accelerated by supernova remnants of double stars. This model is discussed, as well as supernova remnants, shock waves from supernova remnants and the source of the most energetic cosmic rays. (U.K.)
