CP violation in the decays B±→D0anti D0π±

Description
We construct an explicit model for the exclusive decays B±→D0anti D0π±, based on a CP-violating Hamiltonian derived from the Kobayashi-Maskawa theory. The asymmetry between the B+ and B- partial rates is studied as a function of the kinematical variables of the final state. Using only known strong interaction phases in the Danti D channel, asymmetries of the order of 1% are obtained over large regions of the Dalitz plot. Enhanced asymmetries occur if additional final state interactions are postulated. The branching ratio is estimated at 1.6x10-5. (orig.)
