Different mechanisms of the sawtooth crash in the T-10 tokamak plasma
- 1. Gosudarstvennyj Komitet po Ispol'zovaniyu Atomnoj Ehnergii SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Atomnoj Ehnergii
Description
Different types of sawtooth oscillations in T-10 tokamak plasmas (a=0.3 m, Ro=1.5m) have been studied with a two-dimensional soft X-ray tomographic reconstruction method. The analysis of the experimental data indicates that a variety of mechanisms of the sawtooth crash can be realized in T-10. the realization of the mechanisms depends on the electron temperature profile (current density profile) in the central region of the plasma.
