Investigations of afterglows from surface-wave-produced plasma
- 1. Dept. de Fisica Aplicada, Facultad de Ciencias, Univ. de Cordoba, 14071 Cordoba (Spain)
Description
This paper reports on the experimental investigations of the afterglows of a surface-wave-produced Argon plasma. Electron density decay, measured by resonant scattering, is used to obtain recombination and diffusion coefficients. A Pyrex cylindrical tube of internal radius a = 4.5 mm was employed. The gas used in the discharge was Argon and two gas pressures were tested, 0.08 and 0.2 Torr. A gradient of neutral temperature provokes an axial variation of these magnitudes
