Measurements of lithium in Luna soils by neutron activation analysis
Description
Lithium content of several samples of Luna 16 and Luna 20 soils have been measured by neutron activation using the reaction Li6 (n,α) H3. The soils contain 11 and 6.6 ppm lithium at the Luna 16 and Luna 20 sites respectively. The lunar highland regions in general seem to contain lower lithium as compared to the mare regions. (author)
