Angular distribution and polarization fraction of characteristic X-radiation after proton impact
Description
The angular distribution of C(K), Cu(L) and Ge(L) X-radiation has been measured for 100 keV proton impact. Whereas the C(K) radiation is emitted isotropically, for the Cu(L) and Ge(L) radiation a finite polarization fraction P of a few percent results: P(Cu)=(3.7+-0.4)% and P(Ge)=(3.2+-0.4)%. These polarization fractions are compared with theoretical ones obtained by the first Born approximation. The agreement is satisfactory. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
