Orientational kinetics of Gd3+-F- dipole complexes in SrF2

Description
The paper deals with kinetics of reorientation of Gd3+ dipole complexes in SrF2 by the method based on the electric field effect in paramagnetic resonance. The measurements of the temperautre dependence of lifetime relative to reorientation of tetragonal and trigonal complexes carried out by this method permit determining activation energies and frequency factors in a large range of temperatures. Relative stabilities of complexes under consideration are found. A model of reorientation of dipole complexes in SrF2:Gd3+ is proposed which allows identifying the measured activation energies with definite potential barriers
