Sintering of tungsten-copper composites of various origin
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Problem Materialovedeniya
Description
A comparative study is made for compaction kinetics and changes in a porous structure during liquid-phase sintering of tungsten- copper composites with 43 and 20% Cu (by volume) prodUced by three process flow diagrams: mixing of commercial tungsten and copper powders; reduction of mechanical WO3 and CuO mixture; redUction of pure copper tungstate CuWO4 and copper tungstate with WO3 additives. It is shown that tungsten-copper composities produced following the 3d diagram sinter most actively due to higher degree of homogeneity and dispersion of the tungsten-copper charge
