Description
In this paper, the dependence of the number of theoretical plates on temperature and reflux ratio was theoretically studied by a mathematical model of boron isotope separation by chemical exchange reaction. The number of theoretical plates decreases as the temperature drops and/or the reflux ratio increases. The relative withdrawal among the operation parameters of isotope separation column was also optimized with the equipment cost and the operating cost. From these results the number of theoretical plates can be determined in the given separation conditions. (author)
