Application of proton and deuteron activation method of analysis for determination of elements with Z > 42
Creators
Description
The values of radionuclide yields formed during activation of elements with Z > 42 by protons and deuterons in the 7-12 MeV range are indicated. It is shown that the highest sensitivity (10-2400) Bk/μgxg-1 is attained for Ru, Ag, Cd, Sn, Te, Cs, Pr and others. The data obtained are compared with the values of radionuclide yields formed during the activation of elements by neutrons and γ-quanta. For determining Ru, Cd, Sn, Te, Cs, Ce etc. the studied methods have advantages over other methods
