Phase diagram of PbTe-CdSe system
Description
Using the methods of X-ray phase analysis (XPA) differential thermal analysis (DTA), microstrUctUral analysis (MSA) and measuring microhardness the phase diagram of PbTe-CdSe non-quasibinary section of the Pb, Cd parallel Te, Se quaternary system is studied. Solubility of cadmium selenide in lead tellUride is maximum at (1140+-5)K and equal to approximately 16 mol. %. As for cadmium selenide solid solutions at this temperature has the spread of not more than 1 mol. % PbTe. The phase diagram has an isothermal part corresponding to the tetraphase equillibrium reaction. The ternary eutectic first-order reaction proceeds at (1140+-5)K near x=0.38
