Description
In this paper, a hierarchical adaptive fuzzy control scheme is proposed for steam generator level control of nuclear power plants in pressurized water reactors. In this scheme two fuzzy controllers are connected hierarchically. Every fuzzy controller is a typical fuzzy control unit. Thus there are less fuzzy rules and adjustable parameters, which are easy to be modified on-line. The output expression of the hierarchical fuzzy controller and the modification algorithm of adjustable parameters are presented, respectively. The simulation results show that our scheme has better performance than variable gain PID control. (authors)
