On nitrogen and hydrogen impurities effect on 113Sn, 125Sb, 65Zn in liquid Li

Description

By the method of capillary-reservoir in the temperature range of 270-700 deg C diffusion of small impurities of 113Sn, 125Sb, 65Zn in Li LEh-1 and LEh-1, containing ∼ 1 % at. N, H, has been studied. It is shown that nonmetallic impurity of H practically does not affect diffusion mobility of 113Sn, 125Sb, 65Zn atoms in liquid Li. The presence of N in Li affects considerably the character of diffusion processes, since at T < 500 deg C 113Sn, 125Sb and 65Zn diffuse in liquid Li not only in atomic form, but also in the form of complexes (microgrouppings) of LixMeyNz type. The number of atoms bound in the complex and effective diameters of the above-mentioned complexes are determined
