Description

Despite the current surplus of oil, demand for this resource will eventually exceed supply as it has in the past. As a result scientists are searching for a low-cost energy source that is free from the fluctuations in supply and demand characteristic of oil. Author contends that nuclear fusion may provide the solution. The current state and future goals of nuclear fusion research is examined. Problems involved in developing and controlling this source of energy is addressed
