Description
New separations agents investigated included molten-salt mixtures as scavenging fluxes for removing ash from the unfiltered oil of Solvent Refined Coal and four classes of solvent extraction reagents. The four reagents evaluated were the carbamoylmethylphosphonates (CMPs), tetraalkyldiphosphonates, crown ethers, and fluorinated β-diketones. Separation of radium, etc., from ores, separation of alpha emitters from reprocessing waste, Pu on in-plant filters and distribution equilibria were studied
