Experimental and theoretical aspects of effective neutron cross-section evaluation for yttrium nuclei in the 10 keV - 3 MeV energy range

  • 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes de Bruyeres-le-Chatel, 92 - Montrouge (France)

Description

Theoretical and experimental capture cross section evaluations have been completed from 10 keV to 3 MeV for89Y. The experimental evaluation is based on the normalization to a consistent set of standards of the experimental results up to 12.31.1974. The formalism used for the theoretical evaluation is the statistical model. The good agreement between the two independent results of our studies provides confidence in the results for 87Y and 88Y obtained using the same model over the same energy range
