Antiprotonic hydrogen and antiprotonic helium

  • 1. Kurchatov Institute Russian Research Center, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The main features of the atomic cascade in antiprotonic hydrogen and antiprotonic helium are described, and some unsolved problems are discussed. The recent experimental data on the time distribution of the antiproton annihilation in helium are shown to provide information about the initial populations of the atomic states. 41 refs., 10 figs., 2 tabs
