A new 2D fluorescent polyoxometalate built up of circular {PW} clusters and Tb cations

Description
A new all inorganic polyoxometalate (POM), which is composed of the [Na(HO)PWO] ({PW}) clusters and Tb cations, Na[Tb(HO){Na(HO)PWO}]·16HO (1), was obtained by using hydrothermal method. Its structure was further characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, TG, and PXRD. Compound 1 displays a 2D layered structure formed by {PW} clusters and [Tb(HO)] linkers. It noteworthy that, eight coordinated sites provided by {PW} was very rare. Furthermore, the luminescent property of compound 1 was reported. (© 2020 Wiley‐VCH GmbH)
