Instrumental neutron activation analysis of reference hair HH-1
Description
Instrumental neutron activation analysis consisting in 3 hours' irradiation and two measurements of gamma-ray spectra (2-3 days and 3-4 weeks after the end of the irradiation) was used for the determination of trace elements in HH-1 reference powdered human hair produced by IAEA. The results of the determination of As, Cu, Hg, Zn, Au, Br, Co, K, La, Na and Sb are in good agreement with the mean values recommended by IAEA. Concentrations of Cd, Cr, Fe and Se were below the detection limit of the method used. (author)
