Description

A barium sensor is applied to the indirect determination of sulfate by flow injection. An improved method for the preparation of the barium/gepal CO-880/TPB complex for use in the sensor is described. The sensor is fast in response and the potential is table and reproducible. A novel mixer to produce concentrations gradients in flow injection titrations is discussed. This provide efficient radiant mixing of the sample and carrier while keeping the overall dispersion of the system low. (auth.). 23 refs.; 8 figs.; 1 tab
