Nonlinear mechanism of the small-scale Alfven wave excitation in a magnetized plasma
Description
Parametric interaction of the Alfven waves in a magnetized plasma is studied. A nonlinear dispersion equation for description of three-wave interaction is obtained. The instability increment is found and its development time for the magnetospheric plasma is estimated. It is shown that the specific frequencies of the Alfven wave turbulence near the geomagnetic equator and in the auroral zones may differ more than one order
