Tc-99m-MAG3 and I-123-Hippuran in laboratory animals and patients
Description
Investigated is the use of Tc-99m-MAG3 in comparison with I-123-Hippuran in scintigraphic renal research in dogs and patients. The clearance of Tc-99m-MAG3 is lower. The gamma recording with Tc-99m-MAG3 is of better quality. Investigated was the Tc-99m-MAG3 clearance by using the Tauxe and Blaufox methods compared with the two-compartment model of Sapirstein. Tc-99m-MAG3 is as reliable as other radiopharmaceuticals in renal research. Using the same preparation for rush as well as regular scintigraphic research is an advantage. 10 refs.; 12 figs.; 3 tabs
