Vacuum controlled spark gap with spatially periodical bar electrodes

Description
Design and specifications of the RBU-63-20UKhL4 vacuum controlled spark gap with spatially periodical bar electrodes are described. Statistic average lag time is H/Iig0,5 where H-distance from ignition unit to anode, Iig - ignition current. Optimal range of commutation currents is 20-160 kA, current pulse length > 30μs. Spark gaps have electrical valve-like actions with the rate of current approaching the zero value < 2x108 A/s
