Moessbauer study of the nickelates ANi0.98Fe0.02O3 (A=Nd, Lu) in the region of the insulator-metal transition

Description
Hyperfine interaction of 57Fe probe atoms in the perovskite structures of NdNi0.98Fe0.02O3 and LuNi0.98Fe0.02O3 nickelates was shown to be associated with specificity of their local crystal structure. Measuring the Moessbauer spectra on both sides from the point of the insulator-metal phase transition (TM) made it possible to comprehensively study the dynamic behaviour of dopant iron atoms. Different models were considered to account for the abrupt change in the chemical shift of 57Fe atoms in the structure of NdNi0.98Fe0.02O3 at T≅TM (148 K)
Abstract (Russian)
Методом мессбауэровской спектроскопии исследованы сверхтонкие взаимодействия зондовых атомов 57Fe в структуре перовскитоподобных никелатов NdNi0.98Fe0.02O3 и LuNi0.98Fe0.02O3. Показано, что кардинальное различие спектров 57Fe двух никелатов связано с особенностями их локальной кристаллографической структуры. Измерение мессбауэровских спектров по обе стороны от температуры фазового перехода изолятор-металл (TИМ) позволило детально исследовать динамическое поведение примесных атомов железа. Рассмотрены различные модели, позволяющие объяснить резкое изменение химсдвига атомов 57Fe в структуре NdNi0.98Fe0.02O3 при T≅TИМ (148 K)Additional details
