Description

Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of SPECT/CT combined with serum β2-microglobulin for brain tumor differential diagnosis. Methods: Fifty-three patients with brain tumor underwent 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT/CT and the serum β2-microglobulin content before surgery were measured through blood samples. The effectiveness of qualitative diagnosis of brain tumors of the two methods and the combination of the above two methods were calculated separately and compared through statistical methods based on postoperative pathological results. Results: The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 68%, 71.4%, 69.8% for SPECT/CT, 72%, 64.3%, 67.9% for serum β2-microglobulin and 92%, 92.9%, 92.5% for combined diagnosis respectively. Conclusion: Compared with single diagnostic method, SPECT/CT combined with serum β2-microglobulin has more diagnostic value in the diagnosis of brain tumor. (authors)
