Elastic behaviour of thick plates and shells with cutouts
Creators
- 1. Massachusetts Univ., Amherst (USA). Dept. of Civil Engineering
Description
The present investigation considers a thick, elastic plate with a finite size circular hole located at an arbitrary point in the structure. The plate is sufficiently thick that transverse shear effects are important. The objective of the investigation is to ascertain the influence of the hole on the elastic stress and displacement fields in the structure. (orig.)
