Description
The contribution explains the reasons calling for research labs and industry joining efforts for the development of superconducting magnets. The current market for various commercial applications of superconducting magnets is shown, and joint ventures for development and applications of such systems in particle physics, MHz-NMR spectrometers, and superconducting coils for thermonuclear fusion devices (IAEA Large Coil Task, POLO project, ITER system). Abstract (German)
