A new theoretical model for fast sawtooth collapse
Description
The parallel electron viscosity is shown to play an important role in sawtooth collapse. A new sawtooth collapse model is established with a Sweet-Parker type analysis. The reconnection time based on this parallel electron viscosity model is less than that of the electron inertial model for a high temperature tokamak plasma. (author). Letter-to-the-editor. 19 refs
