Measuring beam part of electron energy distribution in anisotropic plasma
Description
In experiments on plasma beams and in investigating beam-plasma interaction the electron energy distribution may have two maxima corresponding to the beam and thermal electrons. A simple two-probe method of studying the beam part of electron energy distribution when plasma electron gas consists of the beam and isotropic components is described. As an example results of measuring electron beam relaxation in low pressure mercury plasma are presented
