Dynamic studies on building structures of NPP reactor compartment

Description

The results of model dynamic tests of NPP building structures constructing in higher seismic activity zones are presented. The hydrostatic shaker stand support used during the experiment ensures independent given shifts of the stand platform over each of the axes. The study of vibration of the NPP reactor compartment building has shown that the two lower tones of proper vibrations (f1=1.9; f2=3.5 Hz) are determined by bending-shift deformations of the whole building. At frequencies higher 6 Hz the dynamic running of the bulding is determined by the proper vibrations of its components (shells, plate-floors, walls). The forms of vibrations of the whole building have a complex spatial character. The structure of turbo-unit foundation investigated is sufficiently flexible (vibration period Tsub(1) approximately 1 s), possessing approximately equal dynamic hardness in longitudinal and transverse directions. The foundation dynamic performance in the transverse direction is caused by twisting vibrations of the upper frame, the determining role in forming the seismic load is played by the second vibrations tone (f2=2.8 Hz, a=10)
