Efficiency of water radioluminescence under exposure to accelerated electrons

Description
Under the normal conditions one managed to ensure ∼1.7x10-6 distilled water radioluminescence efficiency. To excite water luminescence one made use of up to 230 keV energy accelerated electron beam. The luminescence was transmitted to the photomultiplier photocathode by means of a quartz fiber light guide. The recording system was calibrated by means of the comparison ribbon lamp. The absorbed dose in the water was recorded by the film dosimeters
Abstract (Russian)
В нормальных условиях получена эффективность радиолюминесценции дистиллированной воды ∼ 1.7x10-6. Для возбуждения свечения воды использовался пучок ускоренных электронов с энергией до 230 кэВ. Свет передавался на фотокатод ФЭУ кварцевым волоконным световодом. Калибровка регистрирующей системы осуществлялась с помощью эталонной ленточной лампы.
