Description
The development of the liquid-metal fast breeder reactor (LMFBR) has continued in Japan as a national development project, and reactor physics research has been continued to support it. This paper reviews the progress in fast breeder reactor (FBR) physics in Japan during the past decade. The paper discusses benchmark test and adjustment of the cross-section set; calculation method development; large-core design study and critical experiment; physics activity at Joyo; and advanced core design study
