Detector of charged particles based on plastic scintillator and SiPM

A prototype channel for muons registration and other charged particles has been developed. The channel complements the muon system with two-coordinate drift tubes, which is being developed for new projects in particle and high energies physics. The device can be used for the radiation control of the flow of charged particles. A distinctive feature of the detector is the absence of a photomultiplier tube and the use of a specialized integrated circuit amplifier-discriminator. The channel consists of a SCSN-81 plastic scintillator based on detector manufactured by Kurarai CO, LTD, a multi-pixel avalanche photodiode (SiPM - Silicon Photo Multiplier) S13360-1375PE manufactured by Hamamatsu Photonics, a 8-channel integrated circuit (IC) of a transimpedance amplifier-discriminator AD-8.41 manufactured at JSC "Integral" (Minsk).
