Thermodynamic stability of the LaBr4- ion

Description
The thermodynamic stability of the LaBr4- anion was for the first time studied by high-temperature mass spectrometry and nonempirical quantum-chemical methods. The experimental and theoretical enthalpies of the reaction LaBi4- = Br- + LaBr3 were ΔrH0(298.15 K) = 302 ± 14 and 303 kJ/mol, respectively. The value ΔfH0(LaBr4-, g, 298.15 K)=-1105 ± 14 kJ/mol was recommended as the enthalpy of formation of the LaBr4- anion
Abstract (Russian)
Методами высокотемпературной масс-спектрометрии и неэмпирической квантовой химии впервые изучена термодинамическая стабильность аниона LaBr4-. Экспериментальное и теоретическое значения энтальпии реакции LaBi4- = Br- + LaBr3 составили: ΔrH0(298.15 K) = 302 ± 14 и 303 кДж/моль соответственно. Для энтальпии образования аниона LaBr4- рекомендована величина ΔfН0(LaBr4-, г, 298.15 K) = -1105 ± 14 кДж/мольAdditional details
