Afterloading techniques in brachyradiotherapy are becoming more popular worldwide, offering the major gain of better protection against unnecessary irradiation of staff. The major criticism levelled at high doserate machines in intracavitary radiotherapy may be overcome by the use of a simple technique designed to remove the restrictions on fractionation
