Extending Bragg peak of heavy ion beam
Description
Dose characteristic in spread-out Bragg peak is explained. According to the theory extending the Bragg peak of heavy ion beam, a range modulator was designed and manufactured. Theoretically the Bragg peak of 50 MeV/u 12C ion beam can be extended to the range between equivalent penetration depths 1.76 mm and 7.33 mm in water by this modulator. Furthermore, the next work should do is analyzed
