Cations analysis by controlled potential coulometry. Pt. 2. Zirconium and thorium determination
Description
A controlled-potential coulometry method for determination of zirconium and thorium has been carried out. This method is based on the reduction of potassium ferricyanide in presence of zirconium and thorium ions in acidic media. Stoechiometric coefficients of the solid products have been determined by intensity-controlled coulometry and chemical analysis. Application range and accuracy of the coulometric method has been established and applied to determination of Zr(IV) and Th(IV) in ores
Abstract (French)
Nous avons mis au point une methode de dosage du zirconium et du thorium par coulometrie a potentiel controle par reduction du ferricyanure en presence des cations Zr(IV) et Th(IV) en milieu acide. A l'aide des titrages coulometriques nous avons determine les coefficients stoechiometriques des produits solides formes a l'electrode. Ils ont ete confirmes par analyse chimique des solides obtenus. Nous avons etabli le domaine d'application et la precision de la methode coulometrique et nous les avons appliques au dosage de Zr(IV) et de Th(IV) dans les echantillons reelsAdditional details
