Injecting into AmPS when ring cavity operates at 476 MHz
Description
The RF requirements for the two modes of AmPS, Stretcher Mode and Storage Mode, are different. In Storage Mode, as is shown in this report, it is more practical to operate at a lower RF-frequency than fRF=2856MHz, which is the RF-frequency in Stretcher Mode. A few consequences of operating the ring cavity at a lower frequency than the (injecting) linac frequency will be reviewed. (author). 1 ref.; 4 figs
