Vortex pairs in two-dimensional superconductors

Description

We study classical and quantum mechanics of vortex-vortex and vortex-antivortex pairs in two-dimensional superconductors. The possibility of observing quantum states of pancake vortices in high-temperature superconductors is discussed. (author)
