Description
The results of measuring the differences of charge radii of nuclei with odd and even (a unit lower) number of neutrons are presented. Stable Nd, Sm and Gd isotopes with 83-84 neutron number are taken for measurements. In this region of mass numbers the change of nucleus shape (from spheric to spheroidal) takes plade, therefore quantum states of odd neutrons greatly differ. The method of measurements is based on resonance fluorescence of atoms studied excited by laser radiation. Isotopic shifts between odd isotopes differing in 2 neutrons, between odd and even isotopes and for comparison between even-even isotopes are tabulated. The typical error of measurements is from 3 to 15 MHz or 5-10%
