Study on #betta# - hyperons polarization, emitted in interactions of π- - mesons and neutrons with carbon nuclei and in #betta#sub(π) dibaryons decay, produced in these interactions

Description

The results of measuring #betta#-hyperon polarization produced in π- meson interactions with 4.0 GeV/c pulse and interaction of neutrons with average 7.0 GeV/c pulse with carbon nuclei are presented. Polarization of #betta#-hyperons emitted at dibaryon #betta#p system decay is also measured. The necessary data have been obtained from photos of propane bubble JINR chamber. #betta#-hyperon polarization in the function of jump angle in the laboratory system measured in π-+12C →#betta#+x; n+12C → #betta#+x reactions does not depend either on the character or on energy of primary particle and it attains the maximum close to 100% near THETA=90 deg, i. e. in the cumulative region. These results agree with the data of other experiments as well as with predictions of quark-parton model with hard quark collision. Average polarization of #betta#-hyperons from #betta#p dibaryon decay within the limits of the experiment error is almost equal to zero. This does not exclude a possibility of non-zero dibaryon spin
