Evaluation of 125I-iododeoxyuridine as a cellular label for in vitro assays: kinetics of incorporation and toxicity
- 1. National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD
Description
The kinetics of 125IUdR incorporation and the toxicity of this compound for prelabeled mammalian tissue culture cells were examined. The compound was both radioactively and chemically toxic but at low concentrations it provided a reproducible means of labeling target cells for use in cytotoxicity assays. The implications of use of this compound in cytotoxicity assays are discusse.
