The interaction of lanthanum, neodymium and europium nitrates with crown ether: decyl-, dicyclohexano- and dibenzo-18-crown-6

Description
Extraction of lanthanide (Ln = La, Nd, Eu) nitrates by solutions of decyl-, dicyclohexano- and dibenzo-18-crown-6 in 1,2-dichloroethane from aqueous perchlorate solutions in the range of pH values from 0.3 to 3 was studied by the method of spectrophotometry. It was ascertained that ions of the above-mentioned metals are extracted most effectively at pH = 1.6-2.0, moreover, the highest degree of extraction is observed for neodymium nitrate. Extractability of dibenzo-18-crown-6 proved higher than that of two other crown ethers (L). The composition of the complexes extracted, i.e. [M(L)2(NO3)](ClO4)2, was ascertained. Concentrational constants of extraction and separation factors for lanthanide nitrates studied were calculated
Abstract (Russian)
С использованием метода спектрофотометрии изучена экстракция нитратов лантанидов (Ln = La, Nd, Eu) растворами децил-, дициклогексано- и дибензо-18-краун-6 в 1,2-дихлорэтане из водных перхлоратных растворов в интервале значений рН 0,5-3. Установлено, что наиболее эффективно ионы указанных металлов извлекаются при рН = 1,6-2,0, причем наибольшая степень извлечения наблюдается для нитрата неодима. Экстракционная способность дибензо-18-краун-6 оказалась выше, чем двух других краун-эфиров (L). Определен состав экстрагируемых комплексов: [M(L)2(NO3)](ClO4)2.
