Passive BWR containment cooling: experience from PANDA tests

Description
With the successful completion of the first phase of the PANDA project, the Paul Scherrer Institute has contributed significantly to the development of passive safety systems for ALWRs. Experimental tests done in a large-scale facility have demonstrated favorable and robust overall global behavior of the SBWR passive containment cooling system. (author) 2 figs., 3 refs
