An inter-reactor comparison of activation reaction rate using with JR-1 and JR-2 geochemical standard rocks for improved non-destructive instrumental neutron activation analysis: a case study at irradiation facilities of research reactors, TRIGA Mark II (Rikkyo University) and JRR-3M (JAERI)
Description
Inter-reactor comparison of activation reaction rate using with JR-1 and JR-2 geochemical standards have been carried out for improved non-destructive instrumental neutron activation analysis for various elements of geological materials. The different ratios of activation reaction rate at irradiation facilities of research reactors, F pipe of TRIGA Mk II(Rikkyo University) and PN-1 of JRR-3M (JAERI), were reasonably explained as the difference of reactor neutron spectra of these irradiation facilities. The results indicate that different type irradiation facilities are used effectively for precise measurements of various nuclides. (author)
