Checking titanium oxide concentrates for natural radioactivity

Description
This paper is part of series of systematic investigations on the correlation of concentration of natural radioactivity in iron and steel row material and in finite products. We analysed samples of concentrated titanium oxide, a row material used in blast furnace. For measurements we used a high resolution gamma spectroscopy system, based on a G(Li) detector, with build-in computer and a standard source of 152 Eu. We analyzed 8 samples resulting from 2 years of monitoring. They show the presence of natural series 232 Th and 238 U. (Author)
