Meson rescattering in N(N,N)Nπ

A simplified description of few body methods is presented. Non-covariant rules are derived for the diagrammatic analysis of p(p,p)nπ+ for which exclusive cross sections are calculated. π and rho exchange alone is inconsistent with data. With the inclusion of the effects great improvements result. It is proposed that polarization asymmetry measurements will give more information for model building. (Auth.)
