Description

The paper reports the development of a model for the conductivity across a semi-parabolic quantum well and numerical results obtained with this model. The scattering mechanism effect on the electrical conductivity is examined. For polar optical phonon scattering the electrical conductivity is found to be non-monotonic with the quantum well width, which is attributed to delocalization of electrons.
