Present status for the development of reprocessing technology with fluoride volatility method
Description
The excellent hybrid reprocessing method 'FLUOREX' as a method improving current reprocessing technologies is under development. This method is a complementary one which adopts the fluoride volatility method for separation and refinement of U and the solvent extraction for separation and refinement of MOX. The technical feasibility on the important technical subjects has shown a prospective insight through the fundamental test using U and Pu and the estimation analysis by simulation. The promotion of an engineering-scale examination and an investigation using actually spent fuels has been intended. (M.H.)
