Diffraction of laser radiation on spin waves in yttrium ferrite garnet

Description
Experimental results are given on the diffraction of a laser beam (lambda=1.15μ)in YIG by magnetostatic waves generated near magnetic jields corresponding to ferromagnetic resonance conditions and by spin waves generated parametrically under conditions of additional absorption. The magnitude and direction of the magnetostatic and spin wave vectors are determined, along with the magnetic field intervals in which diffraction is observed
